Guide to War of Emperium: Second Edition (WoE 2.0)

Overview

This WoE places more emphasis on defensive battle techniques and has a few differences from WoE First Edition.
  1. Castle is much larger in size
  2. Only has one portal which is at the castle entrance.
  3. WOE 2.0 Guardians are much stronger.
  4. Castle layout comes with more defensive structures.
  5. Guardians are spawned with Guardian Stones.
  6. Beginning of WOE 2.0 there are no defensive structures. Guilds need to set up their own defense (Stones, Barricades and Guardians).
  7. Normal WOE protocols are the same e.g. no knock back, Ice wall and flee reduction etc. In addition the Taekwon Skill High Jump cannot be performed.
  8. Introduction of Link flags to move quickly inside the castle (for members of the castle owner only).
  9. No more last minute emperium break strategy. Would take an assassin cross more than 2 minutes to get the emperium if all castle defenses are up.

Castle

They will vary in design and layout but this is the general layout.

Battle System

Fortress Gate
Looks identical to the Barricades with the exception it is invulnerable to any form of attacks. It the first line of defense blocking any intruders from reaching the emperium directly. They only way to lift the Fortress gate is by destroying both Guardian stones. The Fortress Gate can be raised back by repairing both Guardian stones.

Guardian Stones
1st GS.jpg
2nd GS.jpg
Each castle has 2 Guardian stones (which need to be made as soon as WOE 2.0 starts). Unlike the Emperium, all skills can be used against them. When one of the stones is destroyed an announcement will be made. The Guardians which were spawned by that stone will also vanish. Guardian stones can only be repaired 5 minutes after it was destroyed.
Any guild member can make/repair Guardian stones as long as they have the following items in their inventory.
  • 1 x Oridecon
  • 1 x Elunium
  • 30 x Stone
  • 5 x Blue Gemstone
  • 5 x Red Gemstone
  • 5 x Yellow Gemstone

Making and Repairing Guardian Stones

  1. Each piece needs to be assembled in the proper order as prompted by the NPC.
  2. The player must place the corresponding gemstones based by the visual display by the NPC. A red, blue and green aura will need to be matched up with the corresponding gemstones (use yellow gemstones for green aura). The player does this several times.
  3. Once the pieces have been correctly assembled a Guardian Stone will re-appear and the Guardians will spawn immediately.
  4. If you perform any of the steps incorrectly you'll lose some of the items and have to start over again.

3rd Barricade
Each castle has a total of 3 Barricades that stands between the Fortress Gate and the Emperium. A Barricade is made up of 6 Barricades, preventing intruders from crossing until destroyed. However, spells like Storm Gust and Meteor Storm can be cast over and affect party at the other side of the Barricades. Like the Guardian Stones, all skills can be used against them. When a Barricade is destroyed, an announcement will be made. Only the guild leader can make/repair Guardian stones as long as s/he have the following items in their inventory.

Repairing and Creating Barricades

A guild leader needs the following items in their inventory:
  • 30 x Trunk
  • 10 x Steel
  • 10 x Emveretarcon
  • 5 x Oridecon

Then they talk to the NPC (Control Device)

Each component needs to be added several times to the barricade in a random order. You’ll have to pay attention to the specific text que’s in order to properly rebuild the barricade. Barricades must be repaired in order, starting with the one closest to the Emp Room (NPC: Control Device No 3)

Guardians

guardian.jpg
With WOE SE there are only one type who are Sword Guardians.
These are 5 times stronger than the Knight Guardians you are used to in WOE FE and have more attack power/HP (Similar to the Guardians in Thor). Once you summon the Guardian stones, a number of Guardians can be summoned depending on the defense value of the castle. The higher the defense the more Guardians that can be summoned.
  • 0 – 30 Castle Defense Level: 2 Guardians per Guardian Stone
  • 31 – 50 Castle Defense Level: 3 Guardians per Guardian Stone
  • 51 – 70 Castle Defense Level: 4 Guardians per Guardian Stone
  • 71 – 100 Castle Defense Level: 5 Guardians per Guardian Stone

Summoning Guardians
  1. The 2 Guardian Stones already in place.
  2. Guild Leader talks to the NPC Guardian in the emperium room.

Guardians are demi human, follow boss protocol, immune to status, can be buffed like monsters and will detect hidden players.
One new Guardian per Guardian Stone will be spawned after an interval of 5, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes respectively. After 60 minutes of successfully defending the castle, the defending guild will have anywhere between 14 to 20 Guardians.
In a situation when there is more than 2 Guardians per Guardian Stone, once a Guardian dies, it will have to wait for the next spawn time before it can be re-spawned. However, when there is only 2 Guardians per Guardian Stone and they got taken out, they will respawn immediately. (i.e. at any one time, there should be a minimum of 2 Guardians per Guardian Stone)

Navigating through the Castle

Flags
There are 3 types of flags in woe 2.0.
-Flags outside the castle which teleport you directly into the emperium room.
-A row of 10 flags behind the emperium room. Each of these flags will teleport the user to a location somewhere inside the castle. Let's call them Link Flags
